Verse 1:
Because we are so 'old' in our faiths, we lose sight in the simple beauties that God has given us. After refection, anyone can see that God is working in his or her life big time.
Verse 2:
When we were young in faith, we just accepted that God rocked, and ruled our life. When we get old, and try to figure God out, we lose our hair because of stress. Maybe we should just go back to when we were young and accepting, because the only all-knowing is God.
Verse 3:
Jesus is calling me to be His child, and I can practice my faith as such. Finally, when judgment comes my way, I will become a true child of the Light, and I will know that the faith of a child is as pure as can be.
Chorus:
When letting my wisdom and knowledge rule, I didn't get too far with God. When I let faith take over, light, happiness, and truth filled my soul, all because I am a child in the eyes of God.
Overall:
Matthew 18:4 says, "Whoever humbles himself like this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." Ain't this the truth? When you accept Jesus as your Savior, you dive into the water of redemption with both feet. This is how a child approaches life, with such ease of decision and an eternal promise is the answer.
Matthew 18:1-5:
At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?" And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them, and said, "Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. "Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me; 6 but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened round his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea.
1 John 3:1:
"See how very much our heavenly Father loves us, for he allows us to be called his children, and we really are!"
Mark 10:14,15:
"Let the children come to me, do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of God. 15 Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it."
Luke 18:16,17:
"Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of God. 17 Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it."
John 6:48:
"I am the bread of life."
