Verse 1:
No matter how deep into the wilderness I seem to travel; no matter how turned away I am from the truth of God; no matter what, God has always been and will always be there for me.
Verse 2:
No matter how much sin contaminates my soul; no matter how much trouble I may have stumbled into; no matter what, God has always been and will always be there for me.
Verse 3:
No matter what, God has always been and will always be there for me. Now that I see that, I will go "tell it on the mountain" and "proclaim the Good News", I will forever tell that no matter what, God has always been and will always be there for me.
Refrain:
Even in the darkest of times, God compels me to fall on my knees in prayer. I feel so guilty always falling after failing, but God listens to my confessions every time, and takes me back into His loving arms again!
Overall:
This was one of the three songs I wrote very shortly after God so gracefully saved me from my sins and made me a new creation in His kingdom. God is all-knowing and all-powerful, and he will forever reign in my life as I continue to strive to do His will on earth.
Matthew 28:20:
"I am with you always."
"Go, Tell it on the Mountain" - John w. Work, Jr.
Refrain:
Go, tell it on the mountain,
Over the hills and everywhere
Go, tell it on the mountain,
That Jesus Christ is born.
While shepherds kept their watching
Over silent flocks by night
Behold throughout the heavens
There shone a holy light.
(Refrain)
The shepherds feared and trembled,
When lo! above the earth,
Rang out the angels chorus
That hailed the Savior's birth.
(Refrain)
Down in a lowly manger
The humble Christ was born
And God sent us salvation
That blessèd Christmas morn.
(Refrain)
