Verse 1:
I'm just starting the day, and my mind wanders thinking about what God might send my way today. I pray about it (ignite the flame) and go out into the world ready to receive what God gives me.
Verse 2:
Just like Santa Clause, we give gifts out to everyone - only the gifts we bring are on a daily basis and last forever! We need to give these gifts, though, because if we don't the consequences are eternal.
Verse 3:
We have the power to share this wonderful gift with all people, and if we live according to Jesus' commission, we will.
Refrain:
Think about how thankful they will be once they receive Jesus into their lives because of your witness to them! They'll have everlasting life because of your message and Christ's sacrifice!
Chorus:
I'm tired of being timid in situations where God is calling me to be a strong witness. With the armor of God, I can face all situations boldly and bring people to accept, know, and love their Savior, Jesus Christ.
Overall:
This song is stemming from all of the opportunities God has given me in the recent weeks regarding sharing the Good News with people. If I would have held back or refrained completely, it would have been a tragedy. As believers, we all have a responsibility to share our faith and save as many souls as we can - because otherwise, we are sending them to Hell. Pretty powerful statement, huh? Well, it's true. If we had the cure for Cancer, we would certainly have the responsibility to offer the fix to its sufferers. Because we have the cure for eternal damnation, it is our responsibility to tell the world and win souls for God.
Ephesians 6:11
"Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes."
Matthew 5:16
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven"
1 Timothy 6:12
"Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses."
Matthew 10:19-20
"Do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you."
