Verse:
Why is there so much bad in the world? I'm trying to find an answer in my head, but have not been listening to God enough to get one.
Refrain:
I was once a big part of the bad in the world, and here I am asking God to take away the badness in the rest of the world. He took away my badness, so He can take away that of the world too.
Chorus:
Now that He's filled my life with such beauty, I wonder if I'm not a bright enough light for the world to see. When the light that He gave me finally shines throughout the world (or heaven for that matter), I will shout, "Amen" at the top of my lungs!
Overall:
This song lays out a prayer for peace in the world, and touches up on how I was not such a contributor to the world's peace before. I am going to shine even brighter than the day before, hoping that people might see its beauty, and when they do, I will shout, "Amen!"
