Verse 1:
When I close my eyes, I am looking for the peace that only God can bring to my life. The purity and truth that I find in prayer are unmatched anywhere else.
Verse 2:
When God takes me up into His "office", my sins are forgiven. I don't have to think about what I've done because I am in God's hands, and I am forgiven. I can only pray that I won't fall subject to sin again, even though I know that is impossible.
Verse 3:
I think about what I have done in the past, but realize that there is no point in hanging on it at all. This peace is even more unbelievable considering that I have only sat with God for two seconds, and He has given me so much.
Verse 4:
Eventually, it comes time for me to get back to the earth, and stop the beautiful conversation with God for a little while. There are no hard feelings, however, because I know that whenever I want to be back in His arms, all I have to do is close my eyes and call His name.
Chorus:
What a beautiful realm I'm in when I pray! God fills my life with promises of peace and tranquility even when I am not praying. When I am with God, I am free from all earthly concerns, and can only be filled with the beauty that God has for me.
Overall:
Sleeping and praying go hand-in-hand. Where do you think you go when you sleep? I am so intrigued, because when you close your eyes at the end of the day, you are transferred to a different world of perfect peace. I believe that I am with God when I sleep, and He fills me with rest and hope for the day to come. What a beautiful world I am in when I sleep...when I pray!
