Lyrics
Verse 1:
Can't stop think' 'bout what happened
To me the other day
Sinful acts keep on tappin'
Sinful acts consume my ways
There's too much happenin' here
I'm without the words to say
I need to see you more than ever
I need to sit down and pray

Chorus:
Every time I close my eyes
And fold my hands in Your name
You open up the skies
And free my soul from shame, free my soul from shame

Verse 2:
My mind's on all temptation
As my spirit starts to burn
Utilizing God's redemption
When am I gonna' learn?
There's too much happenin' here
I'm without the words to say
I need to see You more than ever
I need to sit down and pray

(Chorus(2x))

Description
Verse 1 & 2:
Once again, I have managed to corrode my soul with sin. Each sin takes me further away from God's Truth, and I am getting frustrated with my insolence. The only way I can get back to God now is by asking Him for forgiveness.

Chorus:
No matter how badly I may have sinned against God, He always welcomes me back with open arms. All that I have to do is pray, and ask for forgiveness, and it's done. The skies open to swallow my unworthy soul once again, and I am once again free from shame.

Overall:
The very shame that resulted in the first fall (Adam and Eve) is experienced every day when we inevitably fall short. One of the many beauties that God has to offer is the open redemption He has for us; and with redemption, there is no more shame.

Psalm 34:5
Look to him, and be radiant; so your faces shall never be ashamed
