Verse 1:
God made all that we have and all that we see. He touched Mary with the Holy Spirit, and she bore a child named Emmanuel, Jesus.
Refrain:
As the story has it, there was no room inside an actual room at the town's inn, and Mary was forced to give birth to Jesus in a manger nearby. From that day (when Jesus was born) on, numerous lives were saved by the Grace of God through the man Jesus Christ.
Chorus:
Two thousand years later, the Christ is still born in souls everyday!
Overall:
This is a song for Christmas time, telling the amazing story of a messiah born from Mary, as Mary had a little lamb indeed! The same God that created all that we have put Jesus Christ on this earth to redeem us all. This is a fun-sounding celebration of the birth of Jesus, and the life of the Christ.
Matthew 1:20-25:
"But after he had considered this, an angel of the lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit". 21 Hew will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." 22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 "the virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son and they will call him Immanuel" - which means, "God with us." 24 When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. 25 But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus."
