Lyrics
Verse 1:
Once again, here I am - I'm on my knees again with You
I can't see where to be, who am I trying to please, them or you or me?

Verse 2:
Adonai, I cant hide, but still I'm running. I'm running out
How can I live the life of serving Jesus Christ right now?

Pre-Chorus:
With all the voices I can take and all the choices I could make
There's only one that will not break, and Lord, that voice is Yours!

Chorus:
So, here I am!, I'm listening and open to Your Word for me
The power that Your Truth will bring is strong enough to break me free
I'm living here for You!

Verse 3:
Let me be what You need to lay the line that leads to You
To be the one pressing on to bring Your Grace along with You

(Pre-Chorus)
(Chorus)

Bridge:
And I will live the Truth because it pleases You
And all I desire is to lift You higher in all I say and do!

(Pre-Chorus)
(Chorus)

Description
Verse 1:
Another opportunity to spend time with friends and remain pure in conduct and character has been passed by. The question stays strong in my soul: "Who am I really living for?"

Verse 2:
I know that I will never be able to hide from Adonai (my Lord), but for some reason I'm still running. Paul puts it best: "If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ." (Galatians 1:10). Thats a nice slab of humble pie for me to try to digest.

Verse 3:
I want to be able to carry Christ with me and clearly point all of my conversation to Christ. I want to be able to have Christ glorified in my everyday life, including the time I spend with those Im the closest with.

Pre-Chorus:
This world has so many voices all shouting to me at the same time. The problem is that God speaks to us in that soft whisper, and all that we are accustomed to listening to are the voices that reign the loudest in our ears. Check out 1 Kings 19:11-13, and see for yourself how the voice of God is truly heard.

Chorus:
Two things are involved here: hearing and obeying. First of all, to listen for Gods voice is to ready your heart for His direction. On top of that, to be open to Gods Word in your personal life is to fortify your obedience to that direction. God's Word is powerful. In fact, its even strong enough to break through the hearts thick skin of selfishness.

Bridge:
I will do what Christ would have me do and say what Christ would have me say because that is what pleases my Maker. All that I want to do is have the goodness of Gods character made known through my every conversation.

Overall:
Last night I was having a conversation with a close friend of mine about how difficult it is to live in this world but not for this world. It seems like everyday, I let the salt that I am supposed to season every conversation with take a number as I continue to ignore Gods whisper and chase the wind, earthquake, and fire of self-satisfaction. My heart isnt yet where it needs to be in order to incorporate God deeply into my everyday life and conversations, but through His Word and by His Grace, I will be there soon.

Galatians 1:1,10
"Paul, an apostlesent not from men nor by man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ."

2 Corinthians 5:1, 20
"Now we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human handsWe are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God."

2 Corinthians 5:9
"So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it."

Colossians 3:17
"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him."

Colossians 4:6
"Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone."

1 Kings 16:11-13
"The Lord said, Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by. Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave."
