Verse 1:
I was in my usual "hiding place", you know, the one I've been hiding in for 16 years...well, God found me. I really thought that my hiding place was the greatest spot ever, but as soon as I peeked out, God caught me.
Verse 2:
It's never fun to lose a game, but in this case "to win your game you must lose it!" Though I lost the game, I found new life in Jesus Christ. Praise God that He found me and rescued me from what I was!
Verse 3:
This song is not just about me, but it is about anyone who may have his or her perfect "hiding place" and think that his or her life is perfect as is. As I look at where I was and where I am now, all the glory goes to God for finding me, and He can do the very same thing if you were just to peek outside of your apparently perfect hiding place.
Chorus:
The same God that has rescued uncountable souls in the past and the present has just saved me! Now I have another beautiful spiritual family of brothers and sisters that share in the joy that we were all found and claimed by the same Seeker.
Overall:
I once was lost but now am found. There aren't enough words to express the thanks I have for God finding me and saving me from what I once was. It's pretty cool to relate life to a game of Hide and Seek, especially with God as the seeker. I know that I will never look at the game the same way again, nor will I ever "win" it, because I know now how wonderful it really has been and still is to be found!
Matthew 10:39:
He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for my sake will find it.
Mark 2:17
"It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but the sinners."
Luke 15:6
"Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost."
Isaiah 43:1
"I have called you by name; you are mine"
