Lyrics
Verse 1:
I met a young girl named Sally James, it's all same these days
She struggles with the love of God, she thinks it's not for her
I tell the girl named Sally James, "In Jesus' name, we're saved
In him we have redeeming grace, by his blood, always

Chorus 1:
Listen to me child, I know you are not alone
It may take a while to see His face
Listen to me child, I know you are not alone
I am asking you to please receive God's grace

Verse 2:
I talk with her a couple days, and she says she prays
Waiting for a word from God, but she is not listening
I said, "If you want a word from God, the Word of God is there
Our soul redemption, no exception, by proclamation of faith

(Chorus 1)
(Interlude)

Verse 3:
After what had seemed like years of fallen tears and prayers
Sally James is not same 'cause now she came to God
Thanking God for what she's got, and what she's got is grace
No more tears, relax your fears for God is here - you're saved!

(Chorus)

Chorus 2:
Listen to me child, I know you are not alone
After all the while, you see His face
Listen to me child, I know you are not alone
I am thanking God, that you received God's grace

Description
Verse 1 (Ephesians 1:7):
After talking to my friend and realizing what the problem might be, I try to show/remind her through God's Word that His grace is given to all because of what Jesus did.

Verse 2 (Acts 16:31):
Again, a couple days later, I try to convince her heart with the Word of God...still not a change though. It's frustrating for her because she is praying and not receiving an answer, so myself and some other friends are trying to help her through using God as our power and force.

Verse 3:
This verse is one that looks to the future of the situation, where perhaps my friend might truly realize that God loves her, God cares for her, and God has redeemed her through the blood of His only Son. This is what a relationship with God is all about...this is what the gift of God is all about.

Chorus:
My soul really does feel for my friend. I want her to know that she is not the only one that thinks that we are undeserving of God's grace. I (and most likely every other follower of God) have such a hard time accepting that God would give grace to me.

Overall:
There is a dear friend of mine who has a relationship with God, but because of her background and such she has a tough time accepting God's grace. The feeling that God hates her because of her sin is obvious and external, and seeing her cry in frustration brought this song out. My prayer is that this song can carry to the ear(s) of those who need to hear it...God's grace is for all, and it's for free. Please receive it.

Ephesians 1:7:
"In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace"

Acts 16:31:
"Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved"

Ephesians 2:4-5
"Because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions--it is by grace you have been saved."
