Lyrics
Verse 1:
It is time now for the preparation of souls
It is time now to begin to lose all control
The final Son-rise is drawing near
And I realize that I have nothing to fear

Verse 2:
A voice is calling in the desert of my mind
It is telling us to leave our struggles behind
Every valley will fill in
Every man will see God's salvation

Chorus:
Get ready for the Son of Man
Get ready while you still can
Get ready for life without an end
Get ready to be born again!
Get ready!

Refrain:
Although I've sinned and fallen short, You say I'm righteous anyway
And we will soon be in Your courts to hear what You, my Judge, may say
I am not worthy to be Yours - thank You for showing me the way
Is Jesus what you're living for, it's time today!

(Chorus)

Description
Verse 1:
The time is coming near, and we need to prepare for it. If you are in Christ, you have absolutely nothing to fear for by Grace you will be saved.

Verse 2:
Just like what John the Baptist and Isaiah proclaimed, we need to make our lives right again to get ready for the coming of Christ. Just like we might tidy up the house if we are expecting company, we need to clean up our lives - I'd say the most important guest of your life will arrive shortly.

Verse 3:
Though I am a sinner - a terrible on at that - I have the Grace of God with me as a believer and follower of Christ. I am ready to be fully and completely His in Heaven eternally.

Refrain:
(Romans 2:23-26) Though none of us are worthy to receive God's Grace, He gives it to use freely because He loves us. The question has to be asked, "Have you accepted this Grace we call Jesus into your life?" It's never too late (until it's too late).

Chorus:
Get ready for all the Glory of God to be revealed once and for all to the entire human race! The day is near, even though we don't know when, but if you knew someone was going to rob your house, you would have prepared for it - do the same with your soul.

Overall:
I was reading the first couple chapters of Luke to get ready for a conference I was going to, and came to a huge realization: there was a lot of preparation for Jesus' birth and life He was about to live! Between the angels coming to Mary and Elizabeth, John the Baptists baptisms, and the tons of prophesies all pointing to this, there was a lot out there just preparing the hearts and souls of those who will one day be impacted by His very life. Why not prepare in the same way for Jesus' return? This time it's for keeps, and there's no turning back.

Luke 3:4-6
"A voice of one calling in the desert, 'Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths or him. Every valley shall be filled in, every mountain and hill made low. The crooked roads shall become straight, the rough ways smooth. And all mankind will see God's salvation.'"

Isaiah 40:3-5
"A voice of one calling: "In the desert prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all mankind together will see it. For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.""

Romans 3:23-26
"It makes no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished-- he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus."

Luke 12:39-40
"But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."
